Institute of Environment Management & Sustainability, Middle East announced the incorporation of a new custom training program regarding the prevention of metal smuggling. The program is intended to tackle the issue of illegal transportation of precious metals. During the one-day course, attendants will be taken through the multiple types of smuggling, and the challenges they impose on the law enforcement. Additionally, the course will offer various methods of sharing information, create awareness, and develop an action plan to counter these unlawful practices. The four-module training targets key entities in Oman; Royal Oman Police, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Ministry of Environment, Oman Public Prosecution, as well as other private sectors and group communities. The course will be delivered by customs experts from the MENA region and is expected to roll out in October.
